Lansing Resident Arrested for Aggravated Possession Of Child Sexually Abusive Material

The investigation was initiated when a cyber tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Evidence led to a residence in Lansing where Parks resided. A search warrant was executed at the residence, and digital evidence was seized.

Following the search of the residence, Parks was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material, and three counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Parks was arraigned in the 54-A District Court on Saturday, July 23. Aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material is a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. Use of a computer to commit a crime is an additional felony punishable by 10 years in prison.
