Afton Resident Arrested for Possession of Child Sexually Abusive Material

AFTON, MICH. The Michigan State Police (MSP) Computer Crimes Unit, Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force is announcing the arrest of Darin William Moyer, 41, of Afton, for child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.
The investigation was initiated when a tip was received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). A search of Moyer’s residence resulted in several electronic devices being seized.
Moyer was charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity – aggravated distributing/promoting, one count of child sexually abusive material and two counts of using a computer to commit a crime. Moyer was arraigned in 89th District Court on Thursday, June 23.
The MSP ICAC Task Force was assisted by the Michigan State Police Gaylord Post and the 7th District Fugitive Team.
